Years ago, on an important project that felt like there were more to do's than the day was long, I stumbled upon the magic of flow state when I hopped on a call with a colleague and we agreed to stay on the phone, working in silence, and checking in every 30 minutes. It was body-doubling before I had a name for it. And never have I ever gotten so much done with such ease. Time slowed down and our ability to get things done sped up.
This was flow state, and I couldn't un-know it. It literally makes you feel euphoric (it's brain science). It's how you quiet my inner resistance. And it doesn't just make the focus 10x easier, it make it 10x more fun.
It's in the daily focus sessions that the work gets done, on the days and weeks you're convinced you just don't have time.
